The-Dream Pens Open Apology to Christina

Written on July 16, 2010 by LoLo

The Dream has decided to pen an open apology to his wife, Christina Milian, Peep the letter below:

In My Own Words:

First I want to thank God for the trials of life, without them we can’t know purpose!

I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina. Its easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT.

I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know. I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that! There was so much going on in me and Christina’s personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing. Instead of being direct in order not to cause even more hurt or hurt someone’s feelings, I carried the weight in secret!

I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life. Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I. I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE! I’ve always been a Loving Father, Hard Worker, Generous, Stern and Eager to prove myself. My faults are I can be irresponsible and an ass sometimes, but I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be a malicious person or wish harm to anyone, especially those I love or the mother of my child. I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved! If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront! Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!

This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion! It’s a real thing that involves real people! I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.

But I was reminded by my MOTHER that I am not “Superman” and its okay to lose sometimes…

This too shall pass! And everything will be fine!

Fail indeed. Maybe I’d be a little more sympathetic if he wasn’t always making shady comments about his wife and marriage. Maybe I’d let him off the hook if he at least waited until an announcement was made before frolicking with his assistant on vacay. But since neither happened I’ll just have to continue not liking him. I do agree with him on one point. He can be an irresponsible ass. At least he was honest about that.

His rep released a statement saying:

The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.” Source

The-Dream Ain’t Shit

The-Dream was seen on vacation with his assistant, Melissa Marie.  His wife, singer Christina Milian was no where around (and neither was his ring) and he was getting more than cozy with Melissa.

Melissa and Christiana Christina were pictured above last year looking friendly.  I guess she had no idea that honey would eventually make moves on her man.

Christina responded the pics very simply on Twitter with the below message:

I KNEW I was justified in not liking him.  Low down dirty dog.  I hope Chrissy can get a Kelis like child support settlement for Baby Violet.

Dream Quits Twitter After Ciara Coments

Written on June 22, 2010 by LoLo

Filed Under: Things They Say, Twitter

This weekend The-Dream posted a bunch of tweets addressing an interview with Parlour Magazine where he talked about Ciara.

In the interview he said, “You only get so many times to, and I won’t say fail, but not achieve. There’s an expectation of where Ciara should be in her career. To others, she’s achieved but not to us, because we saw where her career was headed. But now she’s back on the horse. When she first came out I, like Lil Jon and Jazze Pha, understood exactly who she was. It was that whole Atlanta vibe because if i’m not Atlanta, no one is. I knew if I had a chance to get with her creatively, there’s a specific type of swagger that she’s got. Tricky and I did her whole album, but it’s not all shallow songs like “Ride.” There’s play time but there’s substance too, it’s a great listen.”

Ci-Ci’s fans got pissed so Dream said via Twitter:

Look up the word context. And also become familiar with the phrase “taken out of context” it helps.

I believed in Ciara when every1 else walked away &talked shit I love her that’s my sister!Actions speak louder than words.

He then deleted his twitter page. Source

It’s OK to be a douche…just keep your douchery to yourself. His handlers (if he has any) are sleeping on the job.

Dream Opens Up about Married Life

Written on June 20, 2010 by LoLo

The-Dream continues to share about his relationship with his wife and newest child.  In an interview with Parlor Magazine he addressed rumors he and Christina are on the rocks.

How are Christina and baby Violet?
Violet is great, I just saw her last night. She’s three months and one week old with a definite personality. I think she’s going to be a sassy talker. Right now, she’s just long, fat and looks like me. I know Christina hates it because she’s looking at the baby like ‘Where am I? I did all the work for nine months!’

Do you help Christina out when you’re home?
I don’t because my “helping out” turns into expectations. I’ll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina’s tired, call the nanny, call Violet’s granny. We got people.

We recently saw a rumor that you and wife Christina are experiencing issues because you’re unfaithful… on camera. True?
The rumors are not true and it really boils my blood. Christina and I are cool. People keep asking, ‘Why haven’t we seen you guys out together?’ I’m working, that’s why you haven’t seen us. She’s at work too in Los Angeles. The women in the pictures are actually legitimate friends of mine. The photo with me in the car and another woman… she’s a good friend who’s at my house all the time. It’s sad, because [the blogs] have humiliated her. She feels bad, I feel bad and you don’t know what that [judgement] does to that person.

Sorry, but I just can’t trust him.  He hasn’t done anything to make me throw him shade…but my gut is tellin’ me somethin’ in the milk ain’t clean.

The-Dream Discusses His Womens

Written on June 10, 2010 by LoLo

The-Dream did a radio interview and opened up about his wife Christina Milian and how his blended family relates to one another.

He called Nivea his “great friend” and said “Everyone around me get along. They might not want to, but we have to. We have too much business to take care of.”

Then he spoke about how his first year with Christina has been saying, “It’s definitely pretty tough. Because you have family members on each side that have to get into it… You can’t handle the groupies. You can’t handle the blogs. You just gotta do what you gotta do and hopefully the people who are close to you know who you are.” Source

There’s something about him that just oozes douchery. I can’t put my finger on it but pretty much everything that comes out of his mouth makes me angry.

The Dream Talks Reckless About His Wife and Baby

Written on April 12, 2010 by LoLo

dream

The-Dream sat down with VIBE.com to talk about what life was like during Christina’s pregnancy.

“That woman wanted everything. Pickles, a building, the ice-cream factory, a cow, a train set, a cloud, a song.  She was really funny when she was pregnant.”

When speaking about his new daughter he says:

“Violet is just like me: cool. She thinks, though. When you look at her you can tell she’s thinking, ‘What the fu*k did I get myself into out this womb? These motherfu*kers are crazy. And who the hell is this b*tch?’ [laughs] She doesn’t cry a lot, she’s just a tiny quiet character,” he says.

When talking about why he wasn’t there for Christina and Violet’s Us Magazine shoot he said,  “I don’t deal with those types of things. Most of anything that gets shot… that’s Christina’s world.   I’ve never been into tabloids or blogs. Before I met her I wasn’t even paying attention to that sh*t. Now I’m like whatever. [Those things] can just influence you in the wrong way and put you in a certain mood. I don’t give a fu*k though. Blogs didn’t get ‘Umbrella’ written.”

When asked how many kids he wanted he said:

“I’ll probably end up with eighty kids some type of way. They’re like little people with little personalities. I love them… always wanted a big family. I grew up by myself, my mother passed in ’92, so I was still staying in my grandfather’s house and grew up as a single child, dealing with his crazy self. That’s why I like having a lot of people around. So when I had the power, it was about building something so even if doesn’t start [with me], I’ll just influence my children to make children. So it starts and stays this way so you’re never forgotten.” Source

EVERYthing about this interview seems suspect as hell.  I have so many sideways questions to ask but I don’t even know where to start.  Point me in the right direction in the comment section.  Please and thank you.

The-Dream says that his daughter with wife Christina Milian will be born “no later than Sunday.  He added,  “The baby already has a car, I got a house just for the baby — Christina can’t get in the baby’s car. I’m giving all my attention that I usually give to Christina to the baby, all the flowers I usually give Christina, I’m giving them to the baby.

“It’s a girl, Violet will be her first name,” he revealed. “I’m not telling you the middle name, you gon’ get me in trouble.” Source

On the surface this is sweet…but the longer I stare at this quote something seems a little off.  Can you tell me why I suddenly feel weird inside?

The-Dream is Pissed About Grammy Nods…Or Lack Thereof

Written on December 15, 2009 by LoLo

Singer/songwriter The-Dream had a Kanye moment. He was upset about not getting any solo nods for the Grammy awards so he took to Twitter.

He wrote:

“Isn’t it funny the best album of 2009 didn’t get a nomination for the second year strait,” he wrote in a string of tweets. “And this ain’t no Kanye sh– … and yes I am bitchin.”

“I had to let ‘em know it wasn’t all to the good. I wasn’t just chillin’. The people that follow me, they really care about the movement. Not just me, there’s a lot of great people doing great things all the time and they get looked over. That’s why I put the thing about Kanye. I’m not on no Kanye, but when you bust your ass and you know you bust your ass and you don’t get a look, then you’re looking at people funny.”

“I was not expecting it, but I was expecting it, if that makes sense,” he explained. “It was like, ‘Let’s see if some bullsh– happens again.’ I didn’t get nominated last year for Love Hate. Man, I’m black. I’m paranoid, I already expect bullsh– anyway. When I see the names nominated, I’m saying, ‘Are you saying my name don’t belong with the people in this category?’ Come on, man. Somebody isn’t listening.”

“I almost forgot the Producer Of The Year. To not be in that category is crazy,” Dream added. “Nobody released more titles. It’s not even close. It’s not even close, dude. We’re doing albums over here.”

“And it’s the Grammys, man. You look at it from a kid’s standpoint: When you’re growing up, it means so much. Even if it’s not about record sales, singles, the Grammys always pull out the best sh–. I don’t think that happens now.”

“Everybody is saying I should go out and market for it, but I don’t wanna use that power of the strength of my building to win something. I should be able to get nominated or be able to win based off the strength of music – if we’re talking about the best music. If it’s a popularity contest, let’s just say it’s a popularity contest.” Source

Oh dear. Homie calm down please. I don’t want to see you walk down this road. And for the love of God back away from the keyboard…Twitter will be the downfall of us all.

Ciara to Work With The-Dream on 4th Studio Album

Written on October 3, 2009 by LoLo

http://www.rap-up.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/ciara_dream1.jpg

Rap-Up.com is reporting that Ciara is already at work on a new album and she’s enlisted The-Dream’s help.

The report says:

Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and his songwriting partner The-Dream have been secretly spending the summer in the studio producing the entire follow-up to Ciara’s Fantasy Ride. Stewart broke the news to Rap-Up.com in an exclusive interview. “We’re doing the whole project,” he reveals. “We’re pretty good into it at this point. We’re about 14 songs deep right now.”The 23-year-old ATLien relocated to the West Coast to work on the album with Tricky and Dream, who crafted “High Price” and “Like a Surgeon” off this year’s Fantasy Ride. “She came out to L.A. to work with us. We’re out here making this record ’cause it feels good and the vibe is good,” says the Grammy-winning producer.

The as-yet-untitled effort will feature danceable tracks that have become Ciara’s signature. “This record obviously is gonna have tempo to it, but I think it’s gonna have even more substance than the last record,” Tricky discloses. “She dances and we always want to bring out what she does that other people don’t.”

Although Fantasy Ride boasted collaborations with a who’s who of the industry including Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, and Ludacris, the “Love Sex Magic” singer will be riding solo this time. “This album we wanted to take a few steps back and make it more about her, so the only feature is Dream. But the features that we do on this record will be remixes.”

The hitmaker even shared a couple song titles with Rap-Up.com. “I love ‘Speechless.’ I love this record called ‘Gifted.’ Those are two of my favorites. ‘Speechless’ is the record with her and Dream together.”

While there’s still the possibility of a release by the end of the year, it’s looking like 2010 will mark Super C’s return. “It’s a little up in the air, but there’s a chance that it might come this year. That was the goal, but at the same time, we didn’t want to rush anything. I think it’s looking more like a next year thing.”

Ciara is pulling out all the stops to make this her best work yet. “Right now, she’s on her grind, coming back, trying to make a better album than she made last time and get back to that mark where everybody knew that she was in the top tier of the female business.” Source

Am I the only one who really doesn’t care? I like her I guess but I’m just so bored. Maybe The Dream can pull something decent out of her.
