Manute Bol, Dead at 47


NBA legend, Manute Bol, has passed away at the age of 47.  Manute was in University of Virginia Medical Center being treated for Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, a rare skin disease that he got from a medication he received in Africa.  The disease caused internal bleeding and other complications.

Standing at 7’7”, Manute was one of the two tallest players in NBA history and used his basketball fame to help out his native Sudan.  Source
