New TV Post:

BET to Produce 2 More Biopics

BET has announced that they will be producing two more biopics, one on singer Bobby Brown and one on Death Row Records.

The Bobby Brown Story will be a drama that focuses on his life, music, sex and drugs.  The Death Row Chronicles will cover the label and its biggest artists, as well as be a bit of a whodunit in terms of the death of Tupac Shakur.

The network has already covered Bobby to a small extent in their New Edition biopic.  But hope to give a little more detail into his life with the new film. Source and Image

I didn’t watch their New Edition miniseries.  But everyone who did, loved it.  I just hope they can keep the quality high with these next two films.

TV One to Bring Us the Bobbi Kristina Story

TV One will be taking an in-depth look at the life of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter with a new film titled “Bobbi Kristina.”

The movie will reportedly take an “intimate look at the highs and lows of parental, familial and romantic love complicated by fame through the eyes of a sensitive, vulnerable young woman.”

The movie will premier later this summer. Source and Image

I’ll be intrigued to see if they shed any light on her short tragic life.
