Anna Olga Albertina Brown was a circus trapeze artist known around the world. Known as Miss LaLa, Olga was born in Stettin to German parents and was of mixed parentage. She started working with circus troupes at 9 and was well known for her trapeze, wire walking and other death-defying acts.
At the age of 21 she became the subject of a famous painting portraying her in action at the trapeze. “Miss La La At The Cirque Fernando” is on display at the National Gallery of London.
She later went on to marry and have three daughters, all of whom became performers themselves.
