Promoter Suing Rihanna for Missed Show

A man named Chris Ubosi and his company, Megalectrics Rihanna over a 2013 concert that never happened. He said he made a deal with people who claimed to rep Rihanna for her to perform at a venue in Nigeria for 65 minutes. In return she would receive $425K.

He says he made three payments, totaling $160K to these ‘reps.’ They requested a postponement.  He agreed on the condition that Rihanna post the revised date on her social media.  When she didn’t he canceled the show and demanded his money back.

Now he’s suing Rihanna & team for the lost funds. Source and Image

But this all sounds more like this dude was scammed and Rih had nothing to do with this.  So why sue her?
