The web is abuzz with a possible shut down of Essence and Essence.com. This is coming after reports from Gawker that 18 Essence staffers were canned. Of them the entire web team and 4 editors were axed. Mind you, they just relaunched the website last week but said the lay offs are due to budgetary reasons. Source
Damn…sucks.
