Public Enemy to Release Fan Funded Album

Public Enemy has partnered with SellaBand.com to have the fans to finance their next album. The group has already raised more than $50,000 in funding from 700 fans. This is a step to take independent music to a new level and give artists control over their music without any constraints.
Fans who support the group will receive exclusive content for their support. Public Enemy his hoping to raise at least $250K.
SellaBand CEO Johan Vosmeijer, stated, “Two weeks after their arrival, Public Enemy has become the first band in the history of SellaBand to go beyond $50,000. Once again Chuck D is leading the way and showing fellow artists of all levels that fan funding is a viable choice.” Source
