A.J. Suffered From Sickle Cell

It’s now believed that sickle cell anemia may have contributed to the death of Ashley “A.J.” Jewell. AJ, the ex-fiancé of singer and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Kandi Burruss, died after a fight at a strip club and was afflicted with the disorder that inhibits oxygen flow to tissues in the body.
“Rose says it’s most likely that Jewell was worked up from the fight — and because of his condition, it’s probable that he couldn’t replenish the oxygen he lost during the incident … which the Dr. says could have fatal consequences,” TMZ reported. Source
It’s so sad to think that had he not had sickle cell, he’d still be here today to take care of his children.
