And that’s a very important thing to my family, so yeah, when these blogs come out and they start talking shit — you’re messing with what my parents instilled in me. And I know it isn’t true. But I’m glad I have great family members who know that I wasn’t brought up that way, to not be blinded by this industry.” Source

19-Year-old model, Jourdan Dunn (left), is preggers and due this December. She didn’t tel Teen Vogue that she was pregnant until after she, and model Chanel Iman did the above cover shoot for the mags November issue.
Folks see to have their panties all in a bunch because they feel like Teen Vogue is glorifying teen pregnancy.
This has forced the magazine to do some damage control.
The Editor-in-Chief, Amy Astley released a statement saying:
“Teen pregnancy is a difficult, real-life issue that Teen Vogue readers (with an average age of 18) are mature enough to be exposed to. Teen Vogue felt it was important to support, not punish, Jourdan Dunn, who contributed to a beautiful photo shoot and who will surely have an ongoing and successful career in fashion.”
But others don’t feel that way.
“Teen parenting isn’t glamorous, even if you are a teen model,” said Valerie Huber, executive director of the National Abstinence Education Association.
“All I could think about was what my mom was going to say, my agency, my boyfriend. When I told my mom, she started crying and blaming herself. She got pregnant with me at the same age, and she said, ‘I don’t want you to have to go through what I did.’” Jourdan said. Source
I don’t think its a big deal. The purpose of the cover and interview inside really wasn’t to even talk about the pregnancy. The article was mostly about the friendship of the cover models. They’re not glorifying teen pregnancy…they’re just talking about it. I think that girls get into ‘trouble’ when they feel like they’re alone in certain situations, or if they can’t talk about it. Vilifying Jourdan or the magazine is just dumb.
Larry Johnson of the KC Chiefs has been suspended pending an investigation of his use of a gay slur he used on his Twitter account.
He apologized for using the F word saying to “all the kids who view athletes as role models. I was not a good role model yesterday and hopefully I can become a better role model. The song is not literal. Like most provocative art, its symbolism. Grow up. I’m never going to defend my art. I create it and then it’s out of my hands. So reviews don’t hurt me, but Tiffany’s unrealistic take on the song really urked me because idiots breed idiots. Bottom line, she is in the music business so she understands that the song is not indicative of the artist views, but rather, it’s the brainchild and vision of the songwriter and producer. With that being said, to use that song as a shining example of devil worship in the music business, you are saying that Ne-yo and Chuck Harmony are devil worshippers. Thats stupid!! That’s beyond stupid it’s immature. Artist should understand art. So with Tiffany Evans rant, I can safely say that the title artist should not be part of her bio.

Kanye West is getting a break from the L.A. Courts. The case involving him and a paparazzo at LAX has been dismissed.
The charges of battery, grand theft and vandalism are all a thing of the past. Kanye has agreed to go to anger management counseling and has already competed 12 one-hour sessions.
“Kanye took the charges very seriously [and] responded appropriately by getting counseling to figure out why this happened,” Berk told MTV News on Friday after the dismissal. “And the court appropriately agreed to dismiss all charges … this was the outcome that was appropriate given the facts of this case.” Berk noted that because of the dismissal, the incident will not show up on West’s permanent record. Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown, is trying to get British politicians to help people on welfare through a new reality series. In the show “Seven Days on the Breadline” she leaves her mansion to live with an unemployed single mother of five.
She says, “I hadn’t been told anything about the family I would be looking after or the state of the house I would be living in. It was only when I arrived that I realized it had damp rising up the walls, was infested by mice, and was, frankly, horribly unkempt.
“The house was home to unemployed Elaine Henry and my task involved looking after her five children – aged six, eight, 12, 16 and 18 – all on a budget of £264 in benefits.”
She says that the family wasn’t lazy. But was, however, too depressed to make an effort to change their situation.
She adds, “I hope the show will make people think twice about people on benefits, rather than calling them lazy moneygrabbers… On the whole I think the majority could be encouraged to do a bit more if the government would step in.
“If you do not give people a way out, educate them, provide them with somewhere to live, and a community centre for them to visit and be stimulated, then how can you expect them to have the urge to get up and do anything with their lives?” Source

Brad Pitt came out unscathed from a motorcycle accident this weekend. He was in L.A. When he lost control of his bike while trying to menuvore between cars. He hit a parked vehicle with his handlebars then was flung to the ground trying to avoid hitting another car at a red light. Source

Producer Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins recently sat down with MTV to talk aobut Janet Jackson’s upcoming album. Here’s what he had to say:
Janet is like my sister now. We definitely have this incredible chemistry, this bond — I think we musically connect, crazily. I knew it — it’s funny ’cause I predicted this. Five years ago, people used to ask me who I wanted to work with, and I was like, ‘Janet Jackson.’ And I was so passionate about that because I’ve always been a fan of her music and what her and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have done in the past. And I felt like, knowing she wants to try new things, that I feel I can get it and I can deliver it for her.
“Since we’ve been working … I feel like the studio has become a second home for her because with the whole situation with Michael [Jackson] happening, and I feel like right now, emotionally, she can come here and let all her feelings out. I got her writing again — she has the pen and the pad in her hand.”
Apparently her fans are going to see a new side of her thanks to Darkchild.
“You gotta understand, she lost her brother. She was in a relationship for seven years that’s over now. There’s things that she told me that I didn’t even realize. You know, certain [things] like self-esteem that I didn’t even realize that she dealt with for years that you know. … She’s working on her book and she’ll deal with that in her book, but also in songs, certain songs we’re dealing with that head on. And sometimes it can be a touchy subject for us to even go into, and I kinda had to persuade her, ‘Let’s just go, let’s talk about that.’ And she’s been doing it, and she’s a pro about it.”
The album also won’t have a futristic feal like her last album had.
“It’s funny, ’cause when we just started the project, she was like, ‘I wanna do 10 dance records, all up-tempo to dance. Let’s just go dance,’ ” Jerkins said. The sound is inspired by worldwide influences, from African rhythms to Brazilian and Latin music, and RJ said we can expect features on this album like a Pitbull track that was recorded last week.
“But she hits me today and she says we need to do some mid-tempos as well,” Rodney continued. “And I’m glad for that because there’s a time when you listen to a record that you wanna mellow out and she always gives us those great smoothed-out mellow records. So now that she’s in that zone, it’s like ‘Yes!’ ’cause we can focus on that. But I’m still gonna keep the beats hard underneath ’cause she’s still a dancer at heart.” Source
I’ve always liked Janet so I’m eager to see what she’s come out with this time. But I’m not particularly hopeful since she hasn’t been able to recapture the formula she used back when I loved her so.

Spike Lee said that Tyler Perry’s charcters madea were examples of coonery and bafoonery. Well, Tyler recently went on 60 minutes to respond. He said, “I would love to read that [criticism] to my fan base. All these characters of mine are bait, bait to get people talking about God, love, family, and faith.
“That pisses me off. It is so insulting,” he said in reference to Spike’s comments. Source
Well, I must say that before ever seeing any Tyler Perry flick I was sooo disgusted by him. I saw the Madea charcter probably in the same way that Spike looks at it. But after watching one film, I’m in love with Madea. I think she embodies at least one female family member that ALL black folks have. Though his films tend to be a bit preachy, I can appreciate what he’s trying to do, which is (in my opinion) create a relatable character and experience for black families. I’m not going to fault Spike for his opinion or invalidate his feelings but maybe he should fall back from attacking a fellow black artist for a minute.
Jodie Sweetin of ‘Full House’ fame is known for her addiction to crystal meth. She did a Sober tour in 2006 to urge the public to ‘just say no.’ Well she’s now revealed in a tell-all book titled ‘unSweetined’ that she was high during the whole thing.
She said, “I was back to partying like I was at my worst, spending seven hundred dollars a week on meth [and] coke.”

There are a bunch of people that believe many successful entertainers got that way through their involvement in the occult. The judge in the embezzlement case involving the Travolta family and two Bahamas officials, declared a mistrial. The trial has been going on for four weeks and it was found out last night that Picewill Forbes, a member of Parliament, announced at a political convention that defendant Pleasant Bridgewater was acquitted of all charges. This was before an official verdict was announced by the jury. The judge thinks that one of the jury members may have revealed the verdict to Forbes.
This sounds fishy as hell. But I hope they prosecute those two to the fullest extent of the law. What they did to the Travoltas after losing their boy is unforgivable.
Singer Corinne Bailey Rae released her first album a few years ago, but hasn’t been seen on the scene since the untimely suicide death of her husband Jason. Well she’s set to make a comeback and has channeled her sadness into some new songs.
“I hope you guys will like it and be into it,” she says in a video on her Web site.
Before she releases her album in February she’ll do a few shows in the U.S. and London. Source

Ashlee Simpson just started working on the CW show Melrose Place and after two months on the hair she’s along with costar Colin Egglesfield, have been fired.
Producer Todd Slavkin tells EW, “Well, we always knew that this murder mystery would end in episode 12. And we always knew that [Ashlee's] character of Violet would be instrumental in that as a suspect, and [Colin's character of] Augie as well. And once that murder mystery was solved, she would go on her way. That was the original plan going into the development of the show.”
He added that they took the news like professionals. “They’re total professionals and they took it like professionals. When you go into a show you never know what’s going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn’t a complete shock.”

Rapper/actor Ludacris is being sued by Carlton Fields P.A., an Atlanta law firm for non payment of legal fees.
They defended him and his Ludacris Foundation two years ago in a complaint for personal injuries and negligence and even advanced the company out-of-pocket expenses. The had to stop providing him legal services this past April, however, after not being paid for his outstanding balance. They’re suing for $61,820 which includes legal fees and expenses. Source

Rapper Shyne has been in jail for almost ten years for a NYC club shooting and he was set for release last month. But officials were trying to decide whether or not to deport him to his home of Belize. Well it looks like he’s going back to the motherland.
His legal team is fighting to keep him in the states where he was raised and have even reached out to fans to urge Governor David Paterson to petition for his pardon.

Frederick Richardson, the man suspected in the murder of Ashley A.J. Jewell, has been released on $10K bail.
He was initially denied bail. But after a coroner suggested AJ may have died due to complications of Sickle Cell, he was issued a bond. Charges will be dropped if Sickle Cell is found to be the actual cause. Source

Khloe and Lamar have finalized the details of their pre-nup.
If they divorce Khloe will get $500,000 for every year they were together, $25,000 a month in support, their home, a new luxury car at the end of every lease, $5,000 a month for shopping, $1,000 a month for beauty care and court side tickets for her entire family.

DeShawn Snow, who was on the first season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta (but was booted from being boring) is still not having any luck in the fund raising business. On the show she threw a fundraiser to benefit her DeShawn Snow Foundation. Hundreds of guests showed but none of them came out of pocket to bid on the jewelry she was auctioning.
Well she just held another fund raiser for an all girl school in Atlanta and according to the school they haven’t heard from her or received any donated funds. The consultant on the fund raising committee said that it wasn’t DeShawns fault the benefit flopped and instead blames the economy. Source

Master P has been known for his charity work. His latest philanthropy includes partnering with HUD to help rebuild the B.W. Cooper Housing Projects in New Orleans. The new site will be renamed Marrero Commons after Yvonne Marrero, a well-known neighborhood activist who died after Katrina.
This place is near and dear to Master P, nee Percy Miller, who was raised there.
He said,“I want to be able to show these guys look at me. I changed my image, I changed my life and I had to grow up. I’m honored to be a part of the ground breaking alongside President Obama’s right hand man, Secretary Shaun Donovan who shares the same goals as me, which is to help B.W. Steve McNair, the NFL star who was killed by his mistress in a murder suicide, is at the center of a paternity suit. A Mississippi woman named Clover claims he’s the father of her 17-year-old daughter.
She’s seeking her “rightful share” of his estate.
She’s asking that the estate (valued at around $19.6 million) pay “all back due support as allowed by law,” according to court records.
Since he didn’t have a will his widow is entitled to 40% of the net value of his estate. She wants to keep that amount as well as cars furniture and the family home.Source

I’m sure they have insurance but the fact that a stranger was in your home touching your things is extremely unsettling. What if they came back in the middle of the robber. It’s a scary thought all around. I hope they catch the culprit(s).
Larry Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, testified in court that she took mre drugs than anyone he’s ever seen. He was on the stand fo a hearing to determine if her companion/lawyer Howard K. Stern and her doctors Khristine Eroshevich and Sandeep Kapoor illegally provided her with drugs.
Larry said the drugs are the reason why they split and added that he even told Dr. Kapoor about his concerns.
“She took more medications than I’ve ever seen anyone take. I said to him that she might be taking medicine from someone else in addition to him. He said, ‘I believe we have that under control now.’”
He also said that he saw Howard give her a bag of drugs while she was ina hospital trying to detox. Source
I fully believe that Howard liked to keep her drugged out of her mind. That way it was heasier for him to get his hands on her wallet.
Action star Vin Diesel is saying no to XXX: The Return of Xander Cage. They say he left the project after the Rob Cohen, the producer of the film quit and was replaced by Ericson Core.
MovieHole.net reports Diesel had been training for the film since August (09).

Jermaine Jackson is being sued by his ex-wife, Alejandra Jackson, for failing to pay more than $35K in child support.
She says that Katherine has even stepped in to help her out by giving her “gift cards to (store) Ralphs in varying months so that I can pick up food for our children (Jermajesty and Jaffar), usually between $300 and $400.”
She also says that he lied to the court when he said he only made $35,000 in 2008. Source

I don’t know if you guys watch the Today Show (I watch it faithfully). But the other morning on the show Balloon Boy upchucked and his Dad, after the initial ptew! Ycuk! Egad! Continued the interview. If you ask me, those parents pumped that baby’s belly full of Dimetapp and Nyquil to keep him lethargic and quiet and it backfired on them. Rapper T-Pain, seems to be giving up his autotuneism, a disease that Jay-Z has ridiculed him for. He recently showed up to an album release party in Miami driving a hearse that carried his ‘big ass chain’, top hats, and autotune recorder in a casket. The hearse was blasting Jay-Z’s ‘Death to Autotune.’
