Teresa Giudice has plead guilty to four counts of fraud.
She said in a statement, “Today I took a responsibility for a series of mistakes I made several years ago.
“I am heartbroken that this is affecting my family. Especially my four young daughters, who mean more to me than anything in the world. I have said throughout that I respect the legal process and thus, I intend to address the court directly at sentencing. I will describe the choices I made, continue to take responsibility for my decision and express my remorse to Judge Salas and the public.”
Both Teresa and Joe plead not guilty last November. But they plead guilty yesterday as part of a deal that may or may not still include jail time for the both of them. Source
So. Fu@king. Dumb. They have risked everything, money, their family, their freedom…and for what? Fail.
Rashidah Ali of Love & Hip Hop fame, had to appear in court for a probation hearing ot explain why she’d skipped meetings with her parole officer and hadn’t been paying her court ordered restitution.
Rashidah had been convicted of taking a friend’s credit card and raking up a big bill on it. She was admitted to the Pre-Trial Intervention program which would clear her of any charges if she met certain requirements. But she didn’t met the seaid requirements so she was dropped from the program, put on probation, and forced to pay back all the money she spent.
Well I guess she hasn’t been doing anything she’s supposed to.
Anyway, after agreeing to knock it off she was spared jail time. Source
I don’t know how she gets any work after runnin around town stealin from folks and committing fraud. Lock it up…or get locked up.
Chris Brown was in court today to see if he would be facing jail time for violating his probation in the D.C. assault.
Prosecutors asked the judge to throw Chris in jail immediately and set a probation violation hearing. They claim “Brown’s violent behavior continues to increase in severity and frequency” and he poses “an increasing danger to society.”
The judge, however, ruled Chris was better off completing his 90-day rehab for anger management than being thrown in jail, so for now Chris will be safe from the Booty Warrior. Source
I agree that he needs therapy right now. I mean, he may need jail too. But that’s not as important at the moment.
Chris Brown was in court yesterday where he rejected a plea deal in the D.C. assault case. His ride-or-die chick, Karrueche Tran, was in court with him.
An attorney for Brown’s bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, who was also arrested in the incident, said the issue was that the offer still carried a simple assault charge. Source
I’m sure he had to reject the deal. I don’t know the details of it. But if he’s convicted of assault of any kind it can have sever implications because of his already standing probation in his assault of Rihanna.
Sidebar, is it inappropriate for me to mention that Chris is looking kinda decent? I mean, rehab has done him some good, no?
Sean Kingston settled a lawsuit last week that was brought against him by a woman who claims Sean and two of his friends gang raped her in her hotel room. Well he’s just lost a job because of the case.

Last night Georg eZimmeramn was found not guilty on Second Degree Murder and Manslaughter in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
IT’s been over a hear since Trayvon’s death and Zimmerman’s arrest. And after just three weeks of testimony and 16 hours of deliberation, a verdict has been handed down-Not Guilty.
Trayvon’s parents, who were not in the courtroom when the verdict was read, both made statements thanking the nation for their support.
Tracy Martin tweeted: “God blessed Me & Sybrina with Tray and even in his death I know my baby proud of the FIGHT we along with all of you put up for him GOD BLESS. Thanks to everyone who are with us and who will be with us [so] we together can make sure that this doesn’t happen again. Even though I am broken hearted my faith is unshattered I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MY BABY TRAY”
Sybrina tweeted: “Lord during my darkest hour I lean on you. You are all that I have. At the end of the day, GOD is still in control. Thank you all for your prayers and support. I will love you forever Trayvon!!! In the name of Jesus!!” Source
This verdict has left many of us stunned, wondering how a jury, after being presented with damning facts, chose to hand down a not guilty verdict. I wasn’t personally shocked OR stunned by the verdict. These six women had a hard job ahead of them. They had to put aside what their personal opinions may have been to make a decision based on the 27 pages of instructions set before them. Did they make the correct decision? That’s not for me to judge. It’s also not for me to judge George Zimmerman. Do I think he’s a murderer? Well yes, the definition of a murderer is someone who kills deliberately. And I believe he did this. I don’t think that he has grounds for self defense. But I also believe that he is firm in believing that what he did was right. He has never shown remorse, because he’s not sorry. And he has no reason to believe he was sorry because he thinks his actions were just.
I say all of this to say, that I don’t believe that there is necessarily an issue with our justice system, or our laws. They have been designed (for the most part) to protect the innocent and to protect our rights. I believe the problem lies with the biased, racist, sexist, nationalist (insert other ‘ist” here) views that have been ingrained in so many of us. If George Zimmerman didn’t see Trayvon as a threat for the mere fact that he was a young black man walking around his neighborhood that he didn’t’ recognize, Trayvon would be alive today. That is a fact.
We’ll never be able to control people’s thoughts. We can’t even control the actions driven by these thoughs. The only thing that we can do as responsible citizens is articulately express disdain for negative and harmful actions/thoughts and make a vow to teach our children the right way. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

The saga involving Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo, just keeps getting more and more interesting. A 23-year-old-man accused Kevin of having sex with him when he was just 16-years-old. Kevin denied the claims and just as quickly as the rumors flared, they went dark when the man, Sheldon Stephens, recanted his statement.
Well, we know know that Sheldon was paid $125,000 to recant his story.
“Stephens agrees that immediately upon execution of this Agreement, his counsel, Andreozzi & Associates, P.C., shall release the [following] statement … ‘He [Stephens] wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship.’”
If Sheldon is asked by anyone about his relationship with Kevin, he must only repeat the statement [above] in the settlement that recants his story. Source

Jay-Z and Beyonce put in a bid to trademark their daughter’s name so they could launch a line of baby products. However a woman named Veronica Alexander has been using the name since 2009 for her wedding planning company, Blue Ivy Events.
Veronica said, “Money doesn’t buy everything. I knew this was going to be a bittersweet roller coaster. If this [hadn't worked], I’d go after both of them. There’s no way by way of being a celebrity they should have entitlement [to the name]. Shame on them.

Scott Storch who’s had his share of jail and drug issues has been dealing most recently with some financial issues. The most recent blow is that he owes over $20K in child support so a Florida court has issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
He hasn’t paid court-ordered child support payments of $28,300 to his baby’s mother and didn’t show up to court to answer for it. So the judge said, enough is enough, throw him in jail.

50 Cent is suing Sleek Audio LLC for an unpaid $285K promissory note he let to them in 2010. He partnered with the company for his “Sleek by 50” wireless headphones in early 2011. But the deal went sour months later.
He claims Sleek agreed to make payments on the loan when it reached $750K in revenue (which reportedly happened shortly after the partnership was solidified). But Sleek says that the agreement is null and void because 50 went with SMS Audio, a competitor and he “purposely omitted and misstated information during their negotiations with intent of fraud.
“Sleek would have never borrowed money from [Curtis] Jackson or allowed him to invest in its company, had it known that Jackson would ultimately use this tactic (of misusing the money) to steal its design, technology and headphones,” the company said in an un-sworn court statement.

Kim did an interview with V Magazine Peep the highlights below:
Kim on her new look: “It came from me taking time away at the end of last year and the beginning of this year and really simplifying my life,” she says. “I went and stayed at my mom’s house for like four months, and I didn’t bring any makeup, high heels, or anything. I just brought sweats, workout clothes, and pajamas. It was so refreshing to me! Spending more time in Paris and traveling has broadened my fashion horizon and my palette of what I want to wear. I love makeup. I love the glitz and the glam, but I think there are just different ways to go about it now.” Still, she admits, there is a ’Ye factor. “Obviously having a stylish boyfriend who has helped introduce me to things and opened up my vision has been an inspiration and has helped me change it up a little bit and become more sophisticated. Being with him, designing and doing things, that’s been motivating to me and has taught me a lot. I’m just thankful.”
Kim on privacy: “Before, I wouldn’t have valued privacy as much as I do now,” she says, alluding to her turbulent year. “I think anyone I’m in a relationship with can really appreciate the things I’ve gone through to bring me here, because I probably wouldn’t have fought for that privacy before. Being with someone who’s more private but who understands public life, we have an understanding. It’s a good balance.”
She only did the show to promote her store: “I think that some people think we opened our store, D-A-S-H, on the show, but when we got the show offer we were thinking of it as a way to promote our store. Styling and fashion have always been my number one job, or obviously my first passion. Our goal had always been to promote the store by doing the show, and then we realized our dream life would be to have our own clothing line. Never in a million years did we think that we could go way more mass with it and have a Kardashian collection at Sears and a QVC clothing line. We weren’t even thinking that big.”
Famous for being famous: “It’s always funny to me when people say that I’m famous for being famous,” Kim says, frankly. “I think it’s fascinating, because it’s still entertainment, you know? It’s fun to see the progression of that idea. I don’t take offense to it at all. I’m not naïve to the fact that I’m not a singer or an actress or anything like that. I’ve never claimed to be anything that I’m not. I think [reality] is still a new form of entertainment that was kind of an unexpected thing… It reminds me of rap music. When rap music first came out, people were like, We don’t understand this, what is this, it’s just a fad. But rap music is definitely here to stay, and I think reality shows have proven they are as well. But when something is newer, people don’t really understand it.”
She wants a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: “I think there was a quote where somebody said that reality stars will never get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. So, of course I’m so competitive that I think that it would be a huge achievement and a goal that anyone would want. I would love to break that mold.” Source
She works hard at whatever it is that she does and I’m not gonna knock her hustle. I would say she doesn’t deserve a star on the walk of fame. But she is famous for her TV and film (albeit of the adult persuasion) work. Plus, famous folks can buy a star so what’s to stop her from getting one?

Lauryn Hill is in trouble with the IRS. She failed to file takes for 2006-2008 and faces $300K in fines as well as one year in prison. Source
I simply don’t understand how she could forget to file her taxes. During tax season the Liberty Tax folks have someone dress in a Statue of Liberty costume and stand on the corner of my apt with signs directing everyone to the nearest office. And I know Lauryn lives like up the block from me so there’s NO reason why she can’t walk herself and her fifty ‘leven kids down to liberty to handle her monies. #RealTalk
A stylist is accusing Ray J of keeping $3K of clothing that he was loaned for Grammy night.
Marc Littlejohn claims he gave Ray J $2,880 in designer clothes for a Grammy event, and they were never returned. According to the lawsuit, they were left in the Beverly Hilton hotel room where Whitney died and haven’t been seen since.
Ray J’s rep says one of Whitney’s associates handed the clothes over to the singer. The items were allegedly taken from Whitney’s room along with the rest of her belongings. Her people couldn’t get in touch with Ray J until recently because he changed his phone number. Source
Something sounds extra fishy. Ray-J denied being anywhere near Whit’s room the night she died, yet his clothes were there. How curious. Jesus be Columbo and get to the bottom of this.
Ola Ray, the Playboy Playmate that appeared in Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ video, filed a lawsuit against him in 2009 just prior to his death. She claims that she was never paid royalties from the video.
She finally settled her suit with his estate. But the details have not been disclosed.

We’ve all been following the story of Jaleel White and his baby mama who accused him abuse, for the past few weeks now. Well it looks like Jaleel is sick of her flapping her gums and he’s asked a judge to make Bridget Hardy keep quiet.
“He’s trying to go to court for a gag order so I can’t do anymore interviews. They served us today. My lawyer just called me 10 minutes ago.”

Two black men are suing ABC for discrimination. Christopher Johnson and Nathaniel Claybrooks say that they went to an audition for “The Bachelor” and were asked by a producer what they were doing there. They say they were taken to the side of the room and left out of the normal audition process. Neither was called back, and they believe it’s because of their race.
They’re filing a class action lawsuit against ABC, Warner Horizon Television, Next Entertainment, NZK Productions and creator Mike Fleiss. Source
Aww sookie, sookie now. I’ve always thought that it was strange that there was never a black bachelor…or any other type of bachelor except for a white one. Although seeing how the black female contestants are axed off on that show within the first few episodes, maybe the producers thought having a black bachelor would affect the ratings. What do you think? Is it racist or is it ratings?
will.i.am is being sued by I.Am.Clothing because they claim he reneged on an agreement to promote the clothing line that was named after him. They say he signed a contract that runs through 2012 and has failed to honor the agreement. They’re seeking over $2 million in their suit. Source

The LA County Department of Children and Family Services is recommending that Gabriel Aubry have supervised visitation while in custody of his daughter, Nahla.
A source says, “Social workers have recommended that Halle maintain primary custody of Nahla. Nahla spends most of her time with her mother. DCFS has also made a new recommendation that Gabriel not be alone with Nahla.
“Case workers are recommending that a nanny be present with Gabriel during his visitation times. Halle’s nanny had been with Nahla when Gabriel had his custodial time from noon until she went to sleep. However, after the alleged incident between the nanny and Gabe, that hasn’t been in place, and he has been alone with Nahla.
“It will be up to the judge to implement the recommendations. Gabriel is fighting having another person with him, he feels that Halle is trying to make his time with their daughter as uncomfortable as possible.”
Additionally CPS suggests that Halle and Gabriel attend parenting classes together. Source

$3.08?! I won’t get out of bed for less than $30…didn’t she talk about pay before taking the job. It’s the first thing I ask after shaking the interviewer’s hand and introducing myself. It goes like this:
“Hi, I’m Lo. What’s this shit pay cus if y’all tryin’ to act funny with the money then we can just say good bye now”…or something like that.
A Georgia judge has ordered Bow Wow be arrested and held until he produces documents that may settle a two year old case.
He was ordered by a Tennessee court in 2009 to pay almost $100K to a tour bus company for not paying his bill. The company took the case to Georgia to try to get a judge to enforce the judgment. Bow Wow was ordered to produce documents in his home state but didn’t do so.

Ericka Lee sais that she and Drake worked and played together in 2010 and 2011 and contends that she recored the songs hook and opening monologue.
She even cites text messages from Drake, which she claims acknowledges her contributions in text messages sent to her. One reads: “U basically made that song.” And said: “It’s sh** without you.”
SIn November, Lee alleges that he made threatening phone calls to her, offering her “4-5%” of publishing monies plus a $50,000 payout to go away. Instead, she filed a lawsuit demanding she be credited as a co-writer, and is seeking damages and disgorgement of profits on allegations of breach of fiduciary duties and unjust enrichment.” Source
Drake’s spokesperson said, “This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct. Ericka Lee consented to the use of her voice in the song ‘Marvin’s Room’ prior to its release. Lee asked only for the credit she received as ‘Syren Lyric Muse,’ and she did not ask for any compensation. It was only after she retained a lawyer that there was a demand for payment. Drake tried for months to resolve the matter amicably, and he now looks forward to being vindicated in court.” Source

Allen Iverson has had his wages garnished to pay off a $375K debt to a jeweler. He was sued by Avdin & Company back in 2010 but failed to respond to the suit. As a result a judge has ordered he pay back $860K which would cover the jewelry, interest, court costs and attorney fees. Wow, dude owes almost a milli…and that’s not counting the money his ex is trying to get from him for child support. Sigh, memba the days when A.I. was the shizz. Too bad, so sad. (Insert Kanye shrug at will.)
Randy Jackson’s baby mama (who is also Jermaine Jackson’s ex wife), Alejandra Jackson, has been awarded $600 in back child support for their three children. Bur randy doesn’t want to pay. He says he and Alejandra struck a deal in 1993 allowing her and the children to live at the Jackson family compound in lieu of child support.
Randy has filed a counter suit claiming Alejandra and the kids lived “like kings and queens” at his expense and had unlimited access to maids, cooks, expensive cars and security guards. Source
Since the kids are all over 18 now, do they get the money or does she? And doesn’t Randy work at Radio Shack? (#Fact) Just leave him alone already. This chick is on some super shady ish all day every day.

Singer Lloyd is being sued by his former manager, Joyce Irby, again. Joyce originally won a settlement against him that required him to pay her $100K and find her a job for breaching his contract. Court documents say she was only paid $20K and he didn’t find her a job. So she’s taking him back to court for the remainder of the money, the job, court fees, etc. Source
I love that part of the settlement was that he had to find her a job. Priceless.
TMZ is reporting that Chris Bosh’s baby mama, Allison Mathis, is keeping him from his daughter, 3-year-old Trinity. She hasn’t spoken to him directly in months, instead deciding to communicate through lawyers. Additionally she’s repeatedly ignored his requests to see his daughter resulting in him seeing Trinity far less than their custody agreement stipulates.

A Pittsburgh songwriter is suing Wiz Khalifa claiming Wiz stole the concept for his hit song ‘Black and Yellow’ from him….

Meh, I don’t really think he has a case. The songs aren’t similar enough to say Wiz is swipin’. That would be like me saying that I wrote a love song and then someone else wrote a love song and now they need to come up off those racks because they’re a thief.
Former Bad Boy rapper turned reverend, Ma$e owes big on some jewelry. According to TMZ he owes $35K to Aydin and Company, an Atlanta jeweler, on a bill dating back to 2005.
They haven’t been able to serve him because every time they go to his house his staff says he’s not there. Ma$e filed papers asking for the suit to be dismissed, claiming that he never signed a contract and that he was given improper service. The jewelers are asking for the money owed plus 1.5% interest per month and attorney fees. Source
He better pass a collection plate cus $35K is a steep billf or someone who hasn’t been getting racks on racks on racks in a minute.
There were some very surprising high profile rulings in the court this year.
Here’s my top three:
3. Amanda Knox
Amanda was convicted of murdering her roommate and sentenced to life in jail. However, there was a lot of circumstantial evidence and a confession garnered under duress. After 4 years in jail, Amanda was released to the loving arms of her family who never gave up hope that she would be vindicated.
2. Casey Anthony
Casey Anthony’s daughter went missing and she waited a month to report the disappearance…in the meantime partying like a rock star. She then mislead police to think that the make believe baby sitter took her daughter. In fact she did a lot of lying to police. Little Caylee’s body was found near the family’s home months later and Casey was arrested.
Not even her parents believed that she was innocent. With those odds stacked against her we thought for sure she’d be convicted. However, a lot of the evidence was circumstantial and the jury was forced to come back with a not guilty verdict. America was enraged. But at the end of the day, these people had a job to do. The prosecuter sould have done a better job to have an iron clad case. With that said, I’m sure she’ll burn in hell anyway so no worries.
1. Troy Davis
Troy Davis was convincted of killing a police officer in a case that was riddled with inconsistancies. He’s always maintained his innocence and made several appeals to have the conviction over turned, a conviction that came with the death penalty.
After four execution dates over the course of four years, Troy Davis was put to death by lethal injection on September 21, 2011. At the end he had made peace and left us with these final words:
Well, first of all I’d like to address the MacPhail family. I’d like to let you all know, despite the situation — I know all of you are still convinced that I’m the person that killed your father, your son and your brother, but I am innocent. The incident that happened that night was not my fault. I did not have a gun that night. I did not shoot your family member. But I am so sorry for your loss. I really am — sincerely. All I can ask is that each of you look deeper into this case, so that you really will finally see the truth. I ask my family and friends that you all continue to pray, that you all continue to forgive. Continue to fight this fight. For those about to take my life, may God have mercy on all of your souls. God bless you all.
Jay-Z has been hit with a lawsuit that claims he put his employee’s health and safety at risk.
The Workers Compensation Board of New York has filed a suit against him for fialing to pay workers’ comp insurance for three months in 2009. The insurance covers domestic employees in Jay-Z’s house including cooks, maids, and drivers.
The agency wants $18K and a court has already ordered him to pay up. A source close to Jay-Z said the lapse was a clerical error, and is currently being sorted out. Source
Jay-Z pisses $18K when he wakes up every morning. I’m sure that the lapse had nothing to do with him not having the dough or trying to be shady.
Nelly is getting sued by American Express. They claim that he’s delinquent in $20K worth of charges he’s racked up on his card. They say they’ve contacted him with notices but received no response yet.
AMEX wants him to pay the $20,403 he owes as well as $3K in lawyer’s fees. He’s due in court on January 9th. Source
Evelyn Lozada of ‘Basketball Wives’ fame, is being accused of receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars illegally from her ex, Antoine Walker.
Antoine made $110 million during his NBA Career. But must have ran through most of it because he filed for bankruptcy last year. Well right before filing he gave $560K to his ex Evelyn and the bankruptcy trustee is suing her claiming the transfer was fraudulent, that Antoine was trying to hide money from creditors.
Both Ev and Antoine contend the transfer was legit and that he was just giving her money to pay her bills.
In any event the trusty wants the $560 back from Ev and they want it now, so they’re suing her. Source
I’m sure with the money she’s gotten from BBW and the money she’ll be getting from her new show, she shouldn’t have any trouble coming up off those stacks.
Tami Roman of Baskebtall Wives fame is getting sued again. First her ex manager was suing her for money owed and now a woman is suing her for buying some week and promoting it as her own brand.
The owner of Bella Dream Hair, Constance Corleone is suing Tami for $500K. She says that her company was contacted by Tami’s camp so Tami could be a rep for the hair. But Constance contends that after letting Tami try out the hair they heard nothing until they saw her wearing the hair in an advertisement. Tami then allegedly mailed back the hair to Bella Dream but it wasn’t the original weave they sent to her. Source
Snooki is being sued for $7 million. She signed with SRG Ventures to launch her own line of Snooki products, but she ended the deal saying the company didn’t fulfill its obligation to get her enough branding partnerships or money.
SRG claims that Snooks and her management team sabotaged the deal by negotiating with brands behind their back.
Snooki’s rep said, “Ms. Polizzi disputes SRG’s version of the facts and looks forward to her day in court”. Source
Let’s hope for her sake she has some of her 15-minute money left after this ish is over.
