Remember a few months ago when a guard got into trouble over Lil’ Wayne? Well it’s happened again. The first guard was fired for trying to access Lil’ Wayne when she wasn’t supposed to. This time the guard is accused of giving him special treatment.
Capt. Latanya Brown is accused of letting him spend extra time in his cell while other inmates were locked out of their cells and forced into the recreation yard. Source
I don’t know why these heifers is tryin to lose their jobs over this gremlin…it’s not like he’s gonna break them off any stacks. At best he’ll knock em up and keep it moving. Womp, Womp.
Lil’ Wayne says that when he gets out of the clink he wants to collaborate with Andre 3000.
He said, “I’ve been saying to myself that I really want to do a song with either Andre 3000 or I really like my man Tech N9ne from the West Coast.
“I’ll be very honest, I don’t listen to no music. All I listen to all day, if I am listening to anything, is sports. And that ain’t because of nothing, just the simple fact that I’ve never listened to anyone else’s music but my own, and since I’m not able to do that up in here, I don’t listen to anything. I don’t listen to nothing but my thoughts.
“It’s been more than amazing. I promise that I can’t explain the love and support I’ve been getting from my fans. I never knew it was like that, and I’ve been doing this for, what, 16 years? It’s breathtaking.
“As far as Eminem the dude, he’s a great dude. He’s been keeping up with me since I’ve been in here, and I appreciate his support.” Source

Lil’ Wayne can breathe a sigh of relief. He recently plead guilty to possession and gun charges related to an arrest in Arizona in 2008. But he was able to strike a deal so that he doesn’t have to do anymore jail time (he’s currently serving a one year bid at Rikers.
Instead he’ll be serving 3 years probation which will start upon his release from jail.
His lawyer said, “We’re quite glad that we were able to wrap everything up. It’s a favorable plea agreement that will allow Mr. Carter to pursue his career.” Source
We hear that Lil’ Wayne’s daughter with Toya Carter, Raginae, isn’t allowed to see him.
Toya said that she and Wayne made a mutual decition that Raginae not go see him while he’s in jail. She said, “That’s no place for a kid to go. [Wayne and I] just decided not to let her go [to Riker's Island] period. She’s never been. He makes sure he talks to his daughter every day, talking and writing is enough.”
She added, “[Reginae's] writing her father a letter and she took pictures for him. When I go visit, I’ll bring it to him. We may spend [the day] with my father or just together.”Source
I think that’s a hard but wise decision. It’s not like he got life and she’ll never see him again.
Lil’ Wayne has plead not guilty to drug charges in Arizona stemming from a 2008 arrest in Yuma when his tour bus was searched and police found drugs and a loaded gun.
He’s currently in Rikers for a felony gun charge but still had to answer for these other charges in Arizona. Source
He may get out of jail in NY just in time to go to jail in Arizona. FAIL!
Lil Wayne’s ex wife, Toya Carter, is looking at a career in rap. She made an appearance on the remake of Young Money’s ‘Bedrock’ and it looks like she’s seriously considering a career in hip-hop.
She said, “I’ma try it and test it out. [A mixtape or album] depends on how this one goes by myself. I always had a little urge to rap, but never really wanted to because sometimes it doesn’t come off lady like. Then of course Wayne is a rapper so I thought people would be like, ‘Oh she’s trying to rap because Wayne rap.’ So I was like let me just play around with something.”
She added, “It’s crazy because now that I did a little bit of that song everybody’s been coming to me like, ‘Oh can we hear something else? Your accent is so cute. You sound so cute rapping.’ I’m like wow.”
She says that Wayne found her flow funny. “[Wayne] laughed at me [on the "BedRock remix"]. That’s what men do. They’re never going to tell you you’re good or to keep going with it. You know their slick side.” Source
Uh…OK. Well if Nicki Minaj can do it, I guess Toya can too.
Lil’ Wayne got in trouble while in the pokey for having ‘music contraband’. Correctional officers found a charger and earphones for a watch that also had a digital music player on it.
“He was found with a charger for an MP3 player and unauthorized earphones,” a source said.
Officers were tipped off by someone else in the penn. Wayne wasn’t the only one caught. After finding his ‘contraband’ they searched the entire block and found another inmate with a music player. Both will be charged with an infraction. Source
I know he’s supposed to be getting punished but damn, he can’t even listen to music. On another note, can I get a watch that plays music? I’m just sayin’.
So rumor has it that Lil’ Wayne is jealous of T.I.’s relationship with is daughter Reginae. It started when we heard that Reginae had been kicked out of the group the OMB Girlz, a group she’s in with T.I.’s fianceé’s daughter Zonnique. But a source says that she wasn’t kicked out, but instead quit the group all because of her daddy.
“T.I. is really helping the girls a lot and [Lil Wayne] had plenty of time to help them while T.I. was locked up, but he didn’t,” said the insider. “Now that T.I. is out of prison and he’s putting his money into the group and helping them, Lil Wayne doesn’t like it one bit. Now he doesn’t want his daughter in the group.” Source

Amelia Negron, a prison guard at Rikers was recently let go after allegedly sneaking into an unauthorized unit where Lil’ Wayne is being held.
She says, “I don’t even like rap. I like rock and alternative music and didn’t know much about him when they said I tried to see him. None of it’s true. The door to the area was unlocked, and so I went in to say hello, and that officer said, ‘Hey, you can’t be here. We’ve got a celeb here.’ I said, ‘Okay, no problem,’ turned around and left. (I) did nothing wrong, but (I was) threatened with criminal charges, transfers, suspensions.”
Amelia plans to file a suit claiming discrimination and harassment. Source

Lil’ Wayne reportedly has a job at Rikers. He’s now working on suicide watch. Us Weekly reported that his ex wife told them he was monitoring inmates on suicide watch (Toya has since denied telling the magazine anything).
They claim she said that he’s doing well and ‘getting along with everybody’ and that she also confirmed he hasn’t had to cut his dreads.
They quote her saying, “Wayne has a job. They got him on suicide watch for other prisoners. He watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don’t kill themselves. He likes the job even though they don’t pay him much.”
A bench warrant has been issued for Lil’ Wayne in Arizona. Wayne is currently surviving a jail sentence in New York but he’ll have to face a warrant in Yuma where he’s up for drug and weapons charges. The warrant was issued because he didn’t show up for a a court ordered appearance, which he obviously couldn’t do because he’s in jail in another state.
“It does not appear that a trial will be occurring anytime within the next eight to 12 months,” Wayne’s lawyer James Tilson said. Tilson also filed to have the trial pushed to a later date.
Wayne is facing three felony charges related to an incident in 2008 when his tour buss was pulled over and police found 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills among other things. Source

T-Pain says that even though Wayne is locked up, they’re still going to do a duet album.
“The T-Wayne album, we’re actually gonna wait until he gets out. He has so much going on. He has Rebirth out right now. I don’t wanna interrupt that. We just gonna wait until he gets out to really get in on that. We recorded a bunch of songs. But, right now, it’s time for him and his personal sh–. We definitely got an album’s worth of material, but it’s only an album’s worth. It’s nothing to pick from. We just got an album. We can put out whatever we feel like and say, ‘Hey, this is T-Wayne’s album,’ or we can actually try to make it good. Like we’re actually trying to make an album and say, ‘This is the good T-Wayne album.’ Rather than just record 12 songs and say, ‘Here you go, mutha—-as! I know you want it. You gonna buy it anyway, just ’cause you think it’s good.’ “
When asked his thoughts on Wayne getting locked up he said, “It happens, man,” the singer said. “People go to jail. That’s something he’s gotta go through. I’m happy it’s not f—ing 10 years. That’s just something that’s going on. I know his commissary [prison store] is ridiculous. He’s got so much money in his commissary. You think Baby is gonna let him sit up in there and eat Doritos? Wayne got [his food] coming with steaks. … I know what’s going on there.
“Young Money is still there also. He’s in the studio 24/7,” Pain added. “It’s gonna be like Tupac. You still gonna get 1,000 songs from Wayne. You ain’t gonna miss nothing. It’s gonna be like he never went to jail. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna put out a gang of songs. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna do a ‘Free Lil Wayne’ campaign. That’s how it goes.” Source
I wonder their album will be filled with the coonery that was “Freaknik: The Musical”…wrong…just wrong.
So after a billion attempts to put Lil’ Wayne in jail, he’s finally off to the clink.
“He knew what he had to do, and he’s doing it,” his lawyer, Stacey Richman said.
He’ll be at the Island jail complex for his year sentence, most likely in protective custody. If he can behave himself he can be released in 8 months for good behavior. Source

He’ll most likely have to cut off his dreads. New York State Law prohibits inmates to wear dreadlocks.
A law expert said, “Male prisoners are only allowed to wear their hair in cornrows, going straight back. And they can’t exceed the “natural hairline” in length,” which means “it can’t extend the neck.” The only way he can keep his locks is if he says he’s a rasta, but then he’d have to prove it.Source

Lil’ Wayne has avoided sentencing yet again. The first time sentencing got pushed because of extensive dental surgery he had to have done. This time a fire at the Manhattan courthouse pushed his sentencing for at least a day. Source
So Lil’ Wayne started a Twitter account under the name liltunechi and in the above video he talks about his new set of teeth (he had dental surgery which included 8 root canals and tooth implants) and to go off on somebody for making a rud comment. Source

In addition to having to report to jail soon, Lil’ Wayne is also facing a lawsuit. The Royalty Network and record producer, Darious ‘Deezle’ Harrison, are suing Wayne for $2.5 million for their work on his album ‘Tha Carter III.’
They say they own the rights to the song ‘Mrs. Officer’ and want profits from the video, streaming media and ring tones.
Last year Cash Money halted payments because it was alleged that Darius stole parts of the song from a song called ‘Crush.’ Source

Lil Wayne said goodbye today as his one year jail sentence became final. He said in a video:
“To all my fans, my real fans, I really, really, really truly love you. I love you with all of me, for real.
“Do not forget about me ’cause I will forever think about you, and I cannot wait for you to see me again…. I’m out.”
Wayne will be serving his time in Rikers for a gun possession charge and can get out after 8 months for good behavior.
Wayne’s ex-wife Antonia “Toya” Carter expressed her feelings via Twitter saying, “Sad day for me and my fam ……This is really a hard pill to swallow.”
Young Money member, Nicki Minaj told MTV: “It’s sad, because he doesn’t deserve to go to jail… reality hasn’t set in that he has to go to jail. He shouldn’t have to go to jail.” Source

With Lil’ Wayne’s jail time creeping closer and closer, Baby isn’t doing too well. He said, “I’ve been with him forever. It will be the first time in my life I’ll not be reachable to him. We work together, we’re on the road together. We’re always together. I try not to even think about it… I’m losing something in my soul.”
He even plans to temporarily move Cash Money Records to New York to be closer to Wayne while he’s in Rikers. Source

We reported recently that singer Lloyd had parted ways with Murder, Inc. Well now he’s looking for a new home and may be joining Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money group.
He’s replaced Omarion on several of the groups tracks. And his recent songs feature several Young Money artists.
HipHopWired asked Young Money founder Lil’ Wayne, “Is he or isn’t he in line to take the R&B singer spot on Young Money?”
To which he replied, “That’s for me to know and for you to find out.” Source
Lil’ Wayne plead guilty to gun charges and was sentenced to jail time which will start in February. Well he’s in trouble yet again. His tour buses were pulled over in Texas by Border Patrol. They found weed on the buses after a K-9 unit sniffed it out.
As a result, Lil Wayne and 10 others were detained at a police station and later released. Source
Lil’ Wayne will be going to prison February 2010 for his weapons charges.
He struck a deal back in October that puts him in jail starting February 9th (one week after his new album ‘Rebirth” is set to be released) for a shorter amount of time than originally discussed. Source

According to PageSix, Lil’ Waynes got a smelly home. His South Beach apartment was put up for sale for $520K and a prospective buyer who went to check it out had this to say:
“My fiancée and I called to make an appointment to see it, and the broker, deadpan, goes, ‘I have two questions: Are you offended by the smell of marijuana? And do you mind coming late in the afternoon? It’s currently rented by Lil Wayne, and these are not morning people. Once we got there, a member of Wayne’s posse opened the door to the overwhelming smell of marijuana. Two hot, rap-video-looking girls were walking around in nothing but a bra and underwear, blasting hip-hop. We just went in and looked around and tried not to stare.”
On the bright side of things Wayne is apparently really neat.
“He had a perfectly organized closet of crisp T-shirts on hangers, neatly stacked piles of XXL magazine, and a fully stocked bar featuring multiple bottles of Hennessy Black.”

Lil’ Wayne is a father for the fourth time. Singer Nivea gave birth yesterday to a baby boy named Neal. There have been several rumors over the past few weeks that Nivea had already had the baby but those have proven to be false.
Rapper Mack Maine tweeted, “Thank God. Baby Neal was born healthy to Nivea Nash and Dwayne Carter! Thanks 4 (sic) all the blessings and support!”
Lil’ Wayne has a daughter, Raginae with ex-wife Antonia Carter, a son with some random asian groupie chick (she may not actually be a groupie…that’s just all I know about her), and a son with actress Lauren London. His sons were born all within a year of each other. Source

Birdman and Lil’ Wayne are being sued by a Florida man named Thomas Marasciullo, who says that they used his voice for the track “Respect” off of their ’06 album ‘Like Father, Like Son.’
He says Cash Money had him record some “Italian-styled spoken word recordings” in 2006, and then used them without pay or permission.
Lil’ Wayne plead guilty to weapons charges today in NY. He faces up to 15 years in jail for EACH count of criminal weapons and criminal possesion of a loaded weapon. Source

Lil’ Wayne is confirming that the baby in singer Nivea’s belly belongs to him. He did an interview with the BBC’s Timi Westwood spilling the beans (which have pretty much already been spilled).
“Two girls pregnant at the same time?” Westwood said. “Congratulations.”
Wayne responded “Three,” before clarifying for Westwood, who thought he meant he’d gotten three women pregnant at the same time.
“I mean [I'll have] three sons,” Weezy explained.
OK, so let’s do the tally. He’d got a daughter named Reginae with his ex-wife Antonia “Toya” Carter, of the BET hit “Tiny and Toya.” Then he has a little boy with some chick who may or may not be a groupie or video chick…we still don’t know. Then actress Lauren London had a son by him. And now Nivea is about to drop another boy. Source

Lil’ Wayne’s album ‘Rebirth’ has been pushed back once again. The album, toted as a rock-rap album, was supposed to come out November 24th but is now being pused to December 15th.
A few months ago when the album was initially moved, Wayne explained that it had to do with im getting his Young Money label off the ground.
“Honestly, I’m just starting up this Young Money label and I’m trying to get my artists down right. Get everybody together,” Weezy said. “Once I got that together, then I could work back on me. I’m a very humble person. I know once I get to it, I’mma get to it. So like I was saying, it’s Young Money time, so making sure my artists get their just due.” Source
After watching his ‘Behind the Music Special’ I have a whole new appreciation for Wayne. He’s riding on a high so I hope he doesn’t miss the boat by making his fans wait.
Actress Lauren London has given birth to her baby with rapper Lil’ Wayne.
According to fan site New Lil Wayne is saying the following:
Lauren London gave birth to a boy weighing 7lbs & 12 ounces, 21 inches long at Cedar Sanai. Lil Wayne was by her side the entire time and I’m told the baby looks like his mommy Lauren with dimples and all. Very cute baby…[more details will follow as they come] Source

Lil’ Wayne continues to dominate the industry. He’s made a reported $42 million with his latest tour run, which was between December 2008 to September 2009. It’s the highest grossing tour of the year. Falling right behind him is Jay-Z and Mary in 2008, which earned $34.6 million. Coming in third is Kanye’s 2008 tour that grossed $30.8 million. Source

Rapper Nicki Minaj has joined the Young Money family.
“I am honored to have Nicki Minaj as Young Money’s First Lady. She is a star,” Lil Wayne, Young Money label head, said in a statement.
“To say I’m excited would be an understatement. It’s validation. It’s proof. It’s empowerment,” Nicki said of the signing. “I represent every little girl in a hood near you. To everyone that supported me two years ago when I was on underground mixtapes and DVDs and to the people that only caught on two weeks ago, I say thank you. Be proud of yourself. You’ve given girls all around the world the permission to change the face of female rap.”
Several labels had been bidding for Nicki and Young Money won out. Nicki joins Drake and Bow Wow as the newest artists on the label. Source

Lil Wayne’s ‘America’s Most Wanted’ tour stopped in Arizona last week and was attacked. The four bus caravan parked out of an apartment complex. Several women from in and around the complex got on and off the bus angering some of the other locals who started throwing rocks and bottles against the buses. One shot was fired and a 15-year-old boy told police that Wayne’s bodyguards bruised his ribs. Source
