We told you about Janet scoring the Blackglama fur endorsement not too long ago. Well PETA supporter, Pamela Anderson is none to happy about it and has lashed out at Janet. She said, “It’s disappointing. She has spoken out against fur before. I don’t know why some people stop listening to their heart. I guess some people get greedy, but it’s sad.”
In response, Blackglama’s CEO, Joe Morelli, released this statement: “For decades, Blackglama has represented the finest, most exclusive mink in the world. Much like Blackglama, Janet Jackson has occupied a similar position in her respective industry. Janet is an icon in the world of music and entertainment, a true legend. She represents everything this storied campaign embodies. Janet is to entertainment what Blackglama is to luxury.” Source
And he ended it with “I’m rich bitch!” OK, so he didn’t say that. But he should’ve.

Kimmie is catching a lot of flack from PETA for the above pic. She was doing a photo shoot down under and took a pick holding a cat by its nick flesh. Here’s what PETA has to say:
“Kim Kardashian isn’t the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn’t needed.”
So Kim felt the need to respond. She wrote on her blog:
“I have been getting negative comments regarding the way I was holding the kitty, but rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up. The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm any animals.” Source
I hate cats so she could have thrown it into a wall and I wouldn’t have felt one way or another. But I don’t see the big deal. Is the cat dead? Did she chop it up and add it to her lo mein? No, so calm down PETA.

Mike Tyson has managed to piss off PETA. They’re all up in arms about a new show he’s doing for Animal Planet, that focuses on the sport of pigeon racing.
PETA President Ingrid Newkirk says, “One wonders if Mike Tyson realizes that . . . these gentle, loyal birds who race their hearts out trying to get home to their life mates often end up lost in storms, or coming home just have their necks wrung for failure to beat their competitor’s time.”
“I feel a great pride acting as an official representative for all the pigeon fancier’s out there,” Tyson said in the press release. “I want people to see why we love these birds. It feels good returning to the rooftops of the city where it all started for me – New York.” Source
Look, he’s got a bunch of kids and needs the money. Leave him alone. PETA is so annoooooying.

Since PETA ripped Kanye and his boo Amber for walking around Paris wrapped in fur, Kanye has felt the need to speak out. He writes on his blog:
“I’m briefly saddened by negative comments but I just have to remember those people are scared, incapable or just plain idiots. We are the f**king rock stars, baby. No cocaine, just life, my n***as! No cocaine, just life!
“It’s funny to me when fashion bloggers down our outfits and then super jock outlandish s**t on the runway but then they dress mad prude and don’t live fashion. We live it man.
“Remember, there was a time when everybody dissed Michael Jackson every chance they could. Imagine the pressure of being a true icon. Very few human beings are strong enough to take constant hate!”
West also claimed that wearing fur is part of his cultural identity.
“At the end of the day, who are we hurting? Oh, ‘the new black’?” he wrote. “Since Barack [Obama] is President blacks don’t like fur coats, red leather and fried chicken any more? When you truly understand cultural settings, boundaries, and our modern day caste systems, then you can feel the glory and pain from the days of kings in Africa to the new kings of the media.
“Remember clothing is a choice. We were born naked! Fresh is an opinion, love is objective, taste is selective, and expression is my favorite elective. No more politics or apologies!” Source
Um Negro, don’t attribute anything you do to being culturally significant. It’s an insult.

Filed Under: Amber Rose, Kanye West, PETA

PETA has spoken out against Kanye west and his boo Amber for their recent display of fur love while in Paris for Menswear Fashion Week. The two were photographed walking around town slathered in fur. So PETA posted the following on their blog:
“The prettiest people do the ugliest things / For the road to riches and diamond rings … We’ll buy a lot of clothes, but we don’t really need ‘em / Things we buy to cover up what’s inside,” the quote read from the ‘Ye hit.
“Kanye can’t help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show,” said PETA Vice President, Dan Mathews. “He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo.” Source
One, I don’t get PETA’s methods. Insulting people in the way they do doesn’t get anyone to join their bandwagon…it just annoys people. Two, they look awesome, not like pathetic creatures at all. Now they may act like them but they definitely don’t look like them.

Folks are calling Naomi Campbell a hypocrite for staring in a campaign for designer Dennis Basso, wearing fur. Fifteen years ago she started in an “I’d rather go naked than wear fur” PETA ad with four other supermodels.
Heather Mills is one of her critics and Naomi has responded to Heather’s claim that she contacted her showing her disdain for her actions. “As for that Heather whatshername saying she’d written to me to complain about me wearing fur and I’d never replied, I never received a letter, nothing,” she says.

Yes, Naomi is a hypocrite. But my disdain for Heather Mill makes me side with her on this one. Sorry Heather.
